What data TimeUno collects

The full, exact list is on the privacy page. In short:

Desktop app: the app in front, its window title, idle time, how many seconds had any keyboard or mouse input (never what you typed or where you clicked), the project name in an editor (from package.json or similar, or the folder name), the icons of apps you use, and a live status about every 30 seconds while it runs. Screenshots and on-screen text are on by default and can be turned off per computer. See Pause and capture settings.

Browser extension: the site, address and title of the tab you’re using, with sign-in secrets removed from the address, up to 4,000 characters of the page’s visible text (never what you type into fields), and in Chrome the site’s icon. On AI sites the text includes your prompts and the AI’s answers, plus whether the AI is generating and whether the tab is visible. Page text follows the Read on-screen text switch and its retention.

AI tools: metadata only (session times, working or waiting, model, tokens, cost, project folder, conversation title). Prompts, answers and code never leave your device. If you turn on Match AI chats to projects (off by default), TimeUno matches chat text to your projects on your device and sends only the matching project.

Crash reports: when the dashboard, the desktop app or the extension crashes, the error message, where in our code it happened, the version and the operating system go to our error monitor. Page addresses are cut to the site and email addresses removed first; window titles and screen text are never sent. The Firefox extension sends none.

Product analytics: which screens and features you use (for example “opened Settings”, “connected a device”, “started a trial”), so we know what to improve. Only names and on/off values: never your activity, window titles, sites, page text or project names. PostHog stores nothing in your browser for it (no cookies); the same events also go to Google Analytics. Turn it off for all your devices under Settings → Usage analytics in the dashboard.

Who else processes it: TypeSafe (classifies what our rules can’t), Cloudflare (network, screenshot storage, email), Creem (payments), Hetzner (servers, in Germany), Roko Studio (live chat and feedback), Bugwatch (crash reports) PostHog (product analytics, EU hosting) and Google (website and dashboard analytics).

Google Analytics: on timeuno.io and in the dashboard, which pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, your device and browser, and the product events above, using the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>. Never your account ID or your tracked activity. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing is stored in your browser until you choose; elsewhere it’s on by default. Change your choice any time under Cookie settings in the footer of timeuno.io or under Settings in the dashboard.

With your consent, Google may use cookies on timeuno.io to measure and personalise our ads. We never sell data, and never share tracked activity.
